Lucknow, October 4 (TNA) Dial-112 emergency services in Uttar Pradesh have been restored and are now functioning normally after being affected for some time due to a technical problem. Dial-112 is the state’s integrated emergency response service through which citizens can seek assistance from the police, fire and rescue services, and medical emergency teams.
The Uttar Pradesh Police lists 112 as its emergency helpline. Director General of Dial-112, B.K. Singh has ordered a detailed review of the incident to identify the cause of the disruption and prevent its recurrence. Officials have been directed to examine all aspects of the system and strengthen emergency-response preparedness.
The review will include the main power supply, generators and other alternative power arrangements, UPS systems, and all additional backup facilities. A detailed presentation on the findings and proposed measures will be made next week. Authorities have advised citizens to dial 112 for immediate emergency assistance in Uttar Pradesh.
