Alertness of Lucknow Metro Staff Helps Passenger Recover Valuables In Bag Left Behind

Lucknow, August 27 (TNA) Lucknow Metro's robust security system has once again set an example of outstanding and safe transit service. Lucknow Metro’s renowned 'Lost and Found' cell is setting new records in returning passengers' lost valuables. Since the commencement of commercial operations on September 5, 2017, the Lost and Found cell has safely returned approximately ₹55 lakh in cash, jewellery worth around ₹35 lakh, 930 mobile phones, and 258 laptops to passengers.

On Wednesday night at around 8:40 PM, a security personnel spotted an unattended bag at the frisking point of Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport Metro Station. The bag contained ₹20,000 in cash, a laptop, a speaker, and other essential items. Without delay, the security personnel handed the bag over to the Station Controller. The Station Controller acted swiftly to trace and contact the rightful owner of the bag.

The passenger arrived at the metro station around 09:10 PM to claim the bag. After completing the necessary formalities, the Station Controller safely handed over the bag to the passenger within just 30 minutes. Overjoyed to receive his valuable belongings so quickly and safely, the passenger expressed his gratitude to Lucknow Metro and praised the honesty and dedication of the metro staff.

Sushil Kumar, Managing Director of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC), stated, "I am proud of my team, which is dedicated to serving the public in every possible way. The honesty and integrity of Lucknow Metro’s Lost and Found cell have earned the unwavering trust of commuters. Lucknow Metro is far safer, more comfortable, and more convenient compared to any other mode of public transport."
