Head Constable Of UP Police Dies Of COVID-19 In Lucknow

LUCKNOW || A head constable with the Uttar Pradesh Police died of Coronavirus in the state capital on Tuesday, an official statement said. He was 45-years-old and had been admitted to King George’s Medical University (KGMU). He lived at Ujariaon in Gomtinagar and was posted in the anti-corruption wing of the UP Police.

Imamuddin Khan was admitted to the COVID-19 ward in KGMU on Monday evening, an official informed while adding that he died during treatment on Tuesday. He had been on emergency leave since June 25. ICMR guidelines with regards to COVID-19 are being followed, it was further stated.

In the last 24 hours, 672 new COVID19 positive cases have been reported in the state. There are 6711 active cases, 16084 patients have been discharged so far and 697 patients have succumbed to the infection, Uttar Pradesh Principal Secretary (Health) Amit Mohan Prasad said in the routine media briefing.
