French President Dials Moroccan King, Discusses Libyan Crisis

RABAT || French president Emmanuel Macron made a telephone call to the Moroccan king, His Majesty Mohammed VI on Sunday, the Royal Office said. The talks focussed “in particular on the Libyan crisis” ahead of he scheduled meeting between the two leaders in Berlin on January 19.

On this occasion, the important role of the Kingdom of Morocco and its recognised efforts over many years to resolve the crisis in this Maghreb country were underscored” the statement further said.

These efforts, which resulted notably in the Shirt agreement, endorsed by the Security Council of the United Nations and supported by the international community, it was further said.
