ETAH || In a major tragedy in the state of Uttar Pradesh, five persons were burnt alive when their car crashed into a stationary truck in Etah district on Saturday morning, police said. The car was at a high-speed and apparently due to fog and poor visibility on the highway, could not see the stationary truck parked on the roadside.
The mishap took place under the Baghwala police station. The car was coming from Noida and was headed to Etah’s Rampur for a wedding function.
Locals rushed to rescue the occupants of the car soon after the accident cut could not as the vehicle burst into flames and all the six were trapped inside.
Only one person managed to come out and has since been rushed to Agra for treatment. He has sustained serious burn injuries. The dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem and more details about the deceased is being gathered, a local police official told The News Agency.
