Fire Guts Two Dozen Shanties In Gomtinagar Area Of Lucknow

LUCKNOW || A major fire broke out in a locality in Gomtinagar in the state capital on Thursday, police said. Many shanties were gutted in the fire but no injuries or casualties have been reported.

The fire broke out in the hutments at Vibhuti Khand, near the Divine hospital. Locals informed the fire brigade immediately enabling the fire tenders to reach the site of the incident on time.

More than two dozen shanties were gutted in the fire. Officials said that they belonged to rag pickers who stayed there after work. A fire official informed that the fire took more than two hours to be contained.
