LUCKNOW || A day ahead of the worldwide premiere of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s last film ‘Dil Bechara’ on Disney+Hotstar on Friday at 7:30 pm, millions of his fans are both crestfallen and excited to watch the film. Rajput who committed suicide at his Mumbai flat on June 14 has left his fans heartbroken, having gone so soon.
Dil Bechara is the official remake of 2014 Hollywood romantic drama The Fault In Our Stars, based on John Green’s bestselling novel about two teens who fall in love after meeting at a cancer support group.
Abhishek, a resident of sector C, Nirala Nagar says he has been very upset at Sushant’s “abrupt exit” but added that he was “looking forward to his last film“. “It is very sad that he chose to go so early and in this manner but he will live on in the hearts of his fan forever,” the self-professed biggest fan of the late actor told The News Agency.
Divya Sharma, a middle-aged woman from Dilkusha also recalled the actor as a versatile one who made a mark for himself. “I liked him, he was sober..sad that he went so young,” she said while also informing that she will watch the film on Friday.
Former co-stars Kriti Sanon, Sara Ali Khan, Anushka Sharma and Bhumi Pednekar have urged fans to celebrate the late Bollywood star by sharing the poster of his final, posthumous release, Dil Bechara, which is set to premiere on Disney+ Hotstar on July 24.
The film has a debutant director Mukesh Chhabra and stars Sanjana Sanghi, who plays Kizie Basu, a young girl struggling with terminal thyroid cancer and is hesitant of getting romantically involved with Immanuel Rajkumar Junior or Manny, played by Sushant Singh Rajput.
Emotional co-stars of the late actor, including Anushka Sharma, Kirti Sanon, Bhumi Pednekar and Sara Ali Khan have shared on their social media handles and profiles an animated poster of the film.
“One last glimpse of our shooting star Sushant Singh Rajput #DilBechara 24th July @ 7:30 PM IST on Disney Hotstar,” wrote Sara Ali Khan. She worked with Sushant in her debut film Kedarnath.
Bhumi Pednekar, who worked with Sushant in Sonchiriya wrote, “It breaks my heart saying this. Let’s get together and make his final act one remember and cherish forever Let’s all watch it together, the premiere of the film, same time, different places (your homes) but as one audience in whole. This one for #SushantSinghRajput Dil Bechara to premiere on 24th July“.
Anushka, who was seen with Sushant in PK, while sharing the poster shared the poster. Sushant’s Raabta co-star Kriti Sanon also shared the poster and captioned the post with a simple heart emoji.
