Chartered Plane Crashes In Aligarh, Catches Fire But Crew Safe

ALIGARH || Two crew members and four other passengers had a providential escape on Tuesday morning when the chartered plane they were in got entangled in power wires and crashed near the Dhanipur airstrip in Aligarh district of Uttar Pradesh, an official said.

The mishap happened during the landing of the plane which soon caught fire after crashing. Senior police officials and fire tenders rushed to the crash site and rescued the passengers before dousing the fire.

An official told The News Agency that trainee pilots had brought the plane from Delhi for some repairs.

The pilot of the plane Kishore, co-pilot Deepa and engineers Ram Prakash Gupta, Anand Kumar, Kartik and Prabhat Trivedi have sustained minor injuries and have been admitted to a nearby medical facility where their condition is said to be out of danger.
