GORAKHPUR || Bollywood actor Govinda called on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in the Gorakhnath temple in Gorakhpur on Sunday. The monk-turned-politician is in his ‘karmbhoomi’ since the weekend.
The 56-year-old actor, known for his dancing prowess spent some 15 minutes with the UP chief minister, an official said during which the two exchanged notes on Hinduism and spirituality.
The chief minister gifted him some books. Govinda, dressed in black later also offered prayers at Gorakhnath temple. Govinda briefly dabbled in politics and won from Mumbai on a Congress ticket defeating the mighty and invincible Ram Naik, who till recently was the governor of Uttar Pradesh.
