LUCKNOW, August 19 (TNA) On the occasion of World Photography Day, Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) organised the ‘First-ever Photo Walk’ in a moving metro, where seasoned photographers, including veteran Anil Risal Singh, captured the beauty and heritage of Lucknow through the Metro window. It is the first-of-its-kind initiative by Lucknow Metro, bringing the essence of photographing the city and metro travel together.
The event was organised to celebrate the art of photography and to give photographers a new and different perspective on capturing the city through their lenses, through magnificent aerial views from the metro.
A photo exhibition was also organised at Hazratganj Metro station, where photographs by 20 professional photographers were showcased. The exhibition will continue to be open to the public for 2 days.
After the exhibition, the photographers took part in the special, first-of-its-kind photowalk. The participants travelled by metro on the entire metro corridor and captured life in and through the metro. The moving metro provided a unique setting for photographers to explore new angles and subjects
Speaking on the occasion, MD of UPMRC Sushil Kumar said, “Photography is a beautiful way of discovering a city, and through this unique initiative, we wanted to bring together the timeless charm of Lucknow, its vibrant life and the modern journey of Lucknow Metro. We are delighted to see photographers capture these moments from perspectives that celebrate both the heritage and the evolving identity of our city.”
