BJP Announces New National Team Under President Nitin Nabin

New Delhi, August 17 (TNA) The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday announced its new national organisational team under party president Nitin Nabin, marking his first major reshuffle since taking charge earlier this year. The new team includes 13 national vice presidents, eight general secretaries and 16 national secretaries, along with other office-bearers.

Among the vice presidents named are former Rajasthan chief minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, former national general secretary Ram Madhav, D Purandeswari, former Uttarakhand chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat, Baijayant Jay Panda, Rekha Verma, Bharti Pravin Pawar, Manpreet Singh Badal, Lal Singh Arya, M Nagaraja, Tariq Mansoor and Madhuchandra Kar. The party has retained Vasundhara Raje, Baijayant Jay Panda, Rekha Verma and Tariq Mansoor from the previous team, while dropping Saudan Singh, Saroj Pandey, DK Aruna, M Chuba Ao, Abdulla Kutty, Laxmikant Bajpai and Lata Usendi as vice presidents.

Eight leaders have been appointed national general secretaries, including former Union minister Smriti Irani and Vinod Tawde, along with Sunil Bansal, Biplab Kumar Deb, Satish Poonia, Gajendra Patel, Harish Dwivedi and Sanjay Bhatia. The party has retained B L Santhosh as National General Secretary (Organisation), while dropping Arun Singh, Dushyant Kumar Gautam, Tarun Chugh and Radha Mohan Das Agarwal from the general secretary roles. Piyush Goyal has been made national treasurer, with Rajesh Mangal as joint treasurer.
