LUCKNOW || Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Wednesday trained his guns yet again on the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and said it was “hijacking all the development work done during his tenure between 2012-2017“. Accusing the saffron camp of merely cutting inaugural ribbons during its two-year tenure, of the projects that were executed during the SP government.
The Lok Bhawan, where prime minister Narendra Modi would be unveiling a 25-feet bronze statue of the late stalwart of the BJP Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the former chief minister pointed out, was built by his government. “This government only knows how to kidnap development done by others and to divert the attention of the people” the 46-year-old politician further said.
The SP chief seems to be quite near to reality too. As the BJP government in the state has so far inaugurated the Lucknow Metro Rail, Medanta Hospital, Police’s signature building, UP 100 and many other projects that were executed by the Akhilesh Yadav led Samajwadi Party (SP) government.
