LUCKNOW || In a historic first, results of the class Xth and Class XII of the UP Board were announced in the state capital on Saturday afternoon. Earlier they were always announced in Prayagraj. Deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma made the formal announcement of the results in which 83.31% of students passed the High School exam while 74.63% passed in the intermediate exams.
The pass percentage of the girls in high school is 7.10% more than boys and stands at 87.22 per cent, it was informed.
Baghpat’s Riya Jain topped the Class X merit with 96.67% marks while Abhimanyu Verma from Barabanki with 95.83% stood second. Barabanki’s Yogesh Pratap Singh stood third in the merit list with 95.33% marks.
Anurag Malik of Baghpat topped the Intermediate merit list with 97% while the second slot was taken by Pranjal from Prayagraj with 96%. Utkarsh Shukla from Auraiyya stood third with 94.80% marks. Deputy CM Dinesh Sharma informed
That a total of 51,30481 students took the Xth and XIIth exams this year.
He also informed that the chief minister Yogi Adityanath has announced Rs one lakh each to the meritorious students and added that a. Road would be built to their houses. “On the instructions of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath the meritorious children will get Rs 1 lakh cash, a laptop and we will build a road to their houses” Sharma stated.
