KANPUR || In another tragic news coming from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh, a man who had gone missing since July 16 and for whose safe release Rs 20 lakh was sought by kidnappers, was found dead in a dry well. SP Anurag Vats rushed to the scene of the recovery of the body in a village Kanhakheda in Bhognipur village.
Brijesh Pal, the deceased was a manager at a ‘Dharamkanta’ on the Kanpur-Jhansi national highway and had gone missing on July 16. UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath has taken a grim view of the incident and has sanctioned Rs five lakh for the bereaved family of Pal.
Police had been tracking some calls and after some leads given by the people detained the police was told that Pal had been killed and his body dumped in a village well. Law and order in the state seem to be going for a toss since a series of kidnappings and killings have rocked the state in the past few days.
