AMU Student Named In Police FIR For Objectionable Post Against LK Advani

ALIGARH || The Aligarh police have registered a first information report (FIR) against a student of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) and one another for posting an objectionable picture on the social media. Police informed that the duo had posted an objectionable picture of former deputy prime minister Lal Krishna Advani and that they acted on a complaint against the same.

A local worker of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Prateek Chauhan had petitioned the police with proof that the dup had posted this picture of the BJP stalwart on a social media site. “Based on the evidence submitted by the complainant, we have filed an FIR and investigations are on” a police official further informed.

A similar complaint was filed against a professor of the famous Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) in Uttar Pradesh over some alleged comments posted on the social media on Kashmir and prime minister Narendra Modi in November this year.

Ashok Pandey of the Hindu Mahasabha filed the complaint with the police alleging that the AMU professor Huma Parveen and Professor Name Shaukat of Kashmir had posted some objectionable content on the social media with regards to Kashmir and Modi.

Taking strong objection to these posts, Pandey has lodged a complaint with the Aligarh police, seeking action against the professors. Superintendent of Police (SP) of Aligarh City, Abhishek has confirmed of the development and informed that based on the complaint the matter was being investigated.
