Amit Shah Tests Positive For Coronavirus, Hospitalised

NEW DELHI || On a day a senior UP cabinet minister died due to Coronavirus infection, more bad news came for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday as union home minister Amit Shah was tested positive for the virus. The former BJP president tweeted this information from his official handle.

He said he was doing fine but informed that he was being hospitalised on the advice of doctors. “On getting the initial symptoms of coronavirus, I got the test done and the report came back positive. My health is fine, but I am being admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors. I request that all of you who have come in contact with me in the last few days, please isolate yourself and get your inquiry done,” Shah tweeted.

Many leaders, cutting across party lines have wished Shah speedy recovery. These included Congress’s Abhishek Manu Singhvi and West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee.
