Akhilesh Yadav Meets UP Governor, Says Law & Order In UP Bad

LUCKNOW || Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Friday led a delegation of party leaders to the Raj Bhawan and submitted a memorandum to governor Anandiben Patel over what they termed as “poor law and order in the state“.

Citing the violence during the anti-Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) protests in the state over the past week, which left more than 20 persons dead, the former chief minister said that she as the constitutional head should intervene for the safety and security of the people of Uttar Pradesh.

Emerging out of his 20-minute meeting with Patel, the SP chief told media persons that he would talk later and not right now. The former chief minister of UP, however, is learnt to have apprised the governor of the police action against the minority community, which he said was partisan, unwarranted and unfair!
