LUCKNOW || The dreaded Coronavirus reached the Lucknow district court on Monday with the detection of an infected person who is a lawyer, an official informed. Following this, the district court has been closed for the next two days. Officials said sanitation of the entire court premises would be done for the next two days.
It would only be after due care is taken and all sanitation guidelines are followed that a decision to reopen the court would be taken, an official told The News Agency. Uttar Pradesh and its capital Lucknow, like most places across the state have seen a spike in COVID cases in the past ten days.
In the last 24 hours, 685 new COVID19 positive cases have been reported in the state, principal secretary (health) Amit Mohan Prasad said in his daily briefing on Monday. “There are 6650 active cases, 15506 patients have been discharged so far and 672 patients have succumbed to the infection” he added.
