LUCKNOW || For all those who thought the cold wave has abated and that sunny day are ahead in the rest of January, here is a warning. Director of the Met Office, JP Gupta informed that between January 6-10, the cold wave will return and intensify in most parts of the state. Attributing this to a western disturbance from Pakistan, the weatherman said that the cold wave will be triggered by rains and lightening.
Sunday is pleasant in the state capital and most cities but icy winds from neighbouring hill state of Uttarakhand kept the mercury down. In the eastern parts of the state, intermittent rains have occurred in some places. Rains have been predicted for Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, Hardoi, Sitapur and Kanpur in the next 48-hours.
