LUCKNOW || Eyeing the grassroots politics in Uttar Pradesh, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday announced the office bearers of the women’s wing in the state. State president of the party, Sabhajeet Singh informed that the party was serious in building the organisational set up across the politically crucial state of Uttar Pradesh and to give an edge to its politics of development, gender equality and to stop crimes against women, the women wing of AAP was being strengthened.
The office bearers named on Thursday include Sultana Haneef from Prayagraj who has been made the women’s wing general secretary, Sushila Verma is the new state vice-president of the women’s wing and she hails from Mirzapur.
Umang, an advocate from Ghaziabad has been made the vice-president along with Nisha Nigam from Kanpur. Priyanka Prajapati from Chandauli has been made the state secretary. Sabhajeet Singh also announced that the party leadership has mandated Neelam Yadav, the women’s wing state president to form the organisational structure across the state within the next 15 days.
