MORADABAD || Fifteen Uttar Pradesh police personnel have been suspended for allowing and patronising the running of a slaughterhouse in the garb of a cattle dairy in Moradabad, an official said on Tuesday. Of the suspended policemen, 14 are from the Gal Shaheed police station and one policeman is currently posted in Sambhal currently.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amit Pathak informed the media that the police on October 23 had received an input of an illegal slaughterhouse in Asalatpura.ASP Aaditya Langhe and ASP Deepak Kumar were directed to conduct a raid on the suspected slaughterhouse and when the raid was conducted the entire involvement of policemen was exposed.
Police had also recovered 117 alive cattle, 35 cattle skin, 85 quintals of meat, about Rs 10 lakh in cash, 20 axes and much more. The leads to the policemen led to the SSP ordering a probe into the complicity of the policemen and after SP (Traffics) Satish Chandra conducted the investigation, it was clear that policemen had indeed protected the illegal slaughterhouse.
Following this the SSP took this stringent action and suspended SO Galshahid police station Dinesh Sharma, SI Sunil Kumar, SI Pramod Kumar Sharma, SI Sonu Kumar, SI Ajeet Kumar, head constable Vikas Kumar Yadav, constables Naushad Khan,Kapil Kumar, Mohammad Anwar, Sompal, Maneesh Pratap, Ankit Chauhan, constable driver Sachin Kumar and constable Dushyant Singh.
Other than this, Satyaveer Singh who was earlier posted in Galshahid and currently posted in Sambhal was also suspended for his complicity in the crime.
