SHAHJAHANPUR || In a heart-wrenching tragedy in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, 15 persons were killed on Tuesday morning when an over speeding tempo lost control and rammed into another vehicle, police said. Six persons have been critically injured in the mishap and they have been admitted to a nearby medical facility.
The mishap took place on the Lucknow-Delhi highway near the Roza police station.
Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath took prompt note of the accident and directed officials to ensure immediate rescue, relief and proper treatment to those injured in the mishap.
An official with the chief minister’s office told The News Agency, that the CM has asked officials to ensure that people injured in the accident get adequate and prompt treatment. Financial assistance to the families of those killed in the accident will also be handed out later, he added.
